New Construction Home Inspection From a Preferred InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector in Henderson, NV

Contractors Performance Standards

The NEW CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION is a standard whole-home inspection on steroids.

Akamai Home Inspectors review the new construction for compliance to the minimum standards for workmanship, quality and product performance, to be provided by licensed contractors.

Using the “Nevada Performance Guidelines” we inspect to a higher degree of standards than a regular home inspection. The Nevada Contractors board is fairly specific about the quality of the finished product that the consumer receives and our NEW CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION helps you hold them to those standards. Our goal is to ensure that the new home owner receives a home that meets the minimum standards of quality that they deserve.

If you are purchasing a new build home, it is always wise to hire your own home inspector. You’ll often hear, “It’s a brand new home, what could be wrong with it?”, but hiring your own home inspector protects your interests during the home purchase process.

We provide and recommend 3 inspections throughout the new build process:

  • Phase 1 – Pre-drywall Inspection
  • Phase 2 – Final Walkthrough Inspection
  • Phase 3 – 11 Month Inspection

The best time to identify defects is before the drywall goes up and covers the important home components you wouldn’t normally be able to see. Components like the structure, foundation, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, windows, insulation, flashing and seals are reviewed during this inspection. Akamai Home inspectors identify issues so that the builder can repair them after the inspection and before going further with the project.

Take advantage of the builder’s one year warranty with an 11-month warranty inspection. Prior to the one-year warranty expiration, Akamai Home inspectors will review your home and help you to identify defects that should be brought up to your builder for repair. It is normal for your new home to experience some settling and shrinkage. Utilizing the ”Nevada Performance Guidelines”, we inspect to ensure your home maintains the minimum standards of quality as you settle in with your new home.
